At about 2:30 pm today, Venkatesh, the Health Inspector of Fever Hospital in Nallakunta, was caught red-handed after he allegedly demanded and was accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a Shaik Shabana for helping her get a house-keeping job in the outsourcing agency supplying staff to the hospital, and for allowing her to work in the hospital.
The Rs 15,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused officer, and his fingers yielded a positive result in a chemical test.
Venkatesh was arrested and produced before the First Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad.
