Farmers To Get Rythu Bandhu Funds From June 15

Telangana Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today said that about Rs 7,500 crore would be given to about 63 lakh farmers under the state's Rythu Bandhu farmer assistance scheme.

The minister stated that the amount would be disbursed among the beneficiaries between June 15 and June 25.

"As usual, the farmers of our state will get financial support from our government. This time, an additional 66,000 acres of farmland and an additional 2.18 lakh farmers will benefit from the Rythu Bandhu program. Nalgonda will get the lion's share of the funds this year, about Rs 608 crore, and Medchal-Malkajgiri district will get the lowest share of Rs 38 crore under the scheme. The beneficiaries should provide the details required to avail themselves of the aid to the concerned officials soon. Our government will offer aid at the rate of Rs 5,000 per acre. The officials involved in the implementation of the program should also start preparing for the disbursement of the funds," he added.

Reddy asked the concerned officials to make the necessary arrangements for the aid distribution and told them to compile the details of the lands belonging to the farmers covered by the scheme. Further, he asked them to coordinate with other relevant departments to provide the aid amount to the farmers in a timely manner.
