Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today instructed officials to adopt more transparent and efficient procedures to expedite the resolution of petitions submitted under the Prajavani program.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with officials to assess the status of the applications submitted by the citizens.
During the meeting, Reddy inquired about the procedures being followed to address public grievances and the status of the pending applications.
Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar, Planning Board Vice Chairman Chinna Reddy, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Prajavani Nodal Officer Divya, and senior officials from various departments were present at the meeting.
The officials informed the CM that dedicated desks had been set up for different departments under the program, and that a special Pravasi Prajavani had been established to address issues faced by Gulf returnees.
"All arrangements have been made to ensure a hassle-free experience for petitioners. Urgent applications are being resolved on the spot. Ambulance facilities have also been made available during the program. So far, Prajavani has been conducted 117 times, receiving 54,619 petitions, of which 68.4% (37,384 petitions) have been addressed," the officials informed the CM.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that the Prajavani programs conducted in district centres should be integrated with the central Prajavani dashboard at the Praja Bhavan. He stressed that issues at the mandal and district levels needed to be resolved promptly on-site.
He also instructed officials to provide him with live access to the Prajavani dashboard, enabling him to monitor the status of petitions and the nature of applications being received. This would allow for faster redressal and prompt directions to concerned departments, he said.
The CM also asked officials to ensure that the details of applications and information on government schemes were made available online in a transparent manner. He proposed the creation of a portal that allowed the public to track scheme beneficiaries and monitor implementation progress.
He also directed that officials conduct a prior review to determine which information should remain confidential, in accordance with prevailing laws, to avoid compromising the personal security of citizens. A committee needed to be formed at the officer level, and appropriate guidelines needed to be drafted, he added.
