Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today inaugurated a government medical college, built at a cost of Rs 715 crore, in Siddipet district's Ensanpally.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao said that the government would soon establish an international airport too near Siddipet, so that people could avail themselves of better transportation facilities and a faster mode of travel.
Besides this, he also participated in a host of other developmental programmes in the area.
The CM first laid the foundation stone for a multi-specialty government hospital near the town.
The proposed hospital, for which the government has sanctioned Rs 225 crore, will be spread across a sprawling campus and will house 960 beds.
The CM then also laid the foundation stone for an IT park in Duddeda village in Kondapak mandal, and congratulated the entrepreneurs who had shown interest in setting up their firms in the park for their initiative.
He assured them that the TRS government would support them fully.
The building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 45 crore, and, once functional, will reportedly provide jobs and employment to about 3,000 people directly or indirectly.
Four US-based entrepreneurs who are natives of Siddipet have already come forward to set up their businesses in the IT park, which alone are said to be capable of providing employment to 900 people.
KCR later visited the Necklace Road and Mini Tank Bund constructed at Komati Cheruvu, and inspected the beautification measures taken in the area.
The CM also inaugurated a TRS party office in Ponnala village, which will give a place for the party's leaders and activists to hold meetings in the future.
While inspecting the office, the CM expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Finance Minister T Harish Rao to set up the same.
Ministers T Harish Rao, Etela Rajender and V Prashanth Reddy, several MPs, MLAs and MLCs, and other officials also accompanied the CM on his tour.
