Irate aspirants who did not get Congress tickets for the upcoming Assembly elections today stormed Gandhi Bhavan with their fans and followers to protest there.
Prominent among them were supporters of former MLA P Vishnuvardhan Reddy, who was not given the ticket for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency seat. They reached Gandhi Bhavan in large numbers and held a protest there.

Vishnuvardhan Reddy was expecting the Jubilee Hills ticket, but the party gave the ticket former MP Mohammad Azharuddin.
Meanwhile, reacting on the issue, Vishnuvardhan Reddy said that he was clueless about the denial of the party ticket for the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency seat to him.
"I don't understand why I was not given the ticket. Two tickets to people from the same family have been in other cases. Why was that rule applied to me? All the reports say that I will win in Jubilee Hills. I was not given the ticket deliberately. Delhi's elders have been saying for a long time that I would be given the ticket, and I was shocked that my name did not figure in the list. Who is important to the party should first be seen," he said.
Vishnuvardhan Reddy claimed that he was receiving several offers from the other political parties with promises of better positions. "I will take a decision on changing the party after a meeting with my followers," he said.
