TPCC secretary Guruva Vijay Kumar today accused party chief A Revanth Reddy of selling the party's ticket for the Gadwal Assembly constituency for Rs 10 crore and five acres of land.
The TPCC secretary, denied the ticket for the constituency, took up an agitation at the Martyrs' Memorial at Gun Park along with his followers, who raised slogans including "Notu For Vote Nadu, Notu For Seat Nedu".
Vijay Kumar said on the occasion, "Revanth Reddy sold 65 Assembly seat tickets for Rs 600 crore. The party's honest and hard-working Telangana workers have been discriminated against in the allotment of tickets. Instead of those who have worked hard for the party for many years, tickets have been allotted to newcomers who greased Revanth Reddy's palms. The party is suffering a lot because of Revanth Reddy, and the high command should remove him from the post of TPCC president immediately. The party leadership should also make changes to the already-announced first list."
He also said that he would lodge a complaint against the "irregularities" committed by Revanth Reddy, with the ED and the Election Commission.
Meanwhile, the TPCC Disciplinary Committee suspended Vijay Kumar, as also Kalim Baba who was hoping for the Bahadurpura Assembly constituency ticket, from the party.
