The special CBI court, on Monday, adjourned to 18 May the hearing on the CBI's counter-petition opposing bail to Srikant Joshi, an accused in the Emaar case.
Joshi was the CEO of Emaar-MGF, and has been named as an accused in the scam.
Earlier, Srikant Joshi filed an anticipatory bail plea, alleging that the agency was harassing him and his family even after the chargesheet was filed. Following this, the court directed the CBI to file a counter-petition in this regard.
The special court also extended the judicial remand of N Sunil Reddy, another accused in the Emaar scam, who is also a close aide of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, to 17 May. The court made this decision following the expiry of Sunil Reddy's custody on Monday. (INN)
