Polling for the Lok Sabha and Assembly will be held in Andhra Pradesh in two phases on April 30 and May 7.
According to the schedule released by the Election Commission of India, 17 Lok Sabha and 119 Assembly seats in the Telangana region will go to polls on April 30. The notification for the first phase of polling in AP will be issued on 2 April. The last date for the filing of nominations is 9 April, while the scrutiny of nominations will take place on 10 April. The last date for withdrawal of candidature will be 12 April.
Likewise, 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats in the Seemandhra region will go to polls on May 7. The notification will be issued on 12 April, while the filing of nominations will end on 19 April. The nominations will be scrutinised on 21 April, and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is 23 April. Polling for all 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats will be held on 7 May.
The counting of votes, along with other states in the country, will take place on 16 May, and the results will also be declared the same day. (INN)
