BRS MLC K Kavitha today claimed that false cases had been filed against her.
Kavitha, who is in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi liquor scam case, spoke to the media before going to court.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that false cases had been filed against her deliberately.
She claimed that she was targeted by a political conspiracy, and that the same things asked during her interrogation were being asked again and again in the custody, too.
She said that she would fight the case legally.
The Rouse Avenue court had originally remanded her to a week's custody in the case. After the custody expired on Saturday, she was produced before the court again by the ED seeking extension of the custody by another five days.
Kavitha's husband Anil Kumar and her two sons came to the court to see her. Some BRS leaders too came to the court - MPs Vaddiraju Ravichandra, Suresh Reddy and Maloth Kavitha, former minister Satyavathi Rathod, former Illandu MLA Haripriya, and several Jagriti and BRS cadres were present.
