On the directions of BRS working president K T Rama Rao, BRS leader Manne Krishank today lodged a complaint against CM Revanth Reddy's son-in-law Goluguri Satyanarayana's Maxbien Pharma at the ED headquarters in New Delhi.
As is known, Revanth Reddy's government has initiated steps for land acquisition in Kodangal to enable pharma company units to be set up there, specifically one by Maxbien Pharma. Farmers have protested that they are not willing to give their lands, and the resulting violence as some farmers attacked government officials including the Vikarabad Collector and the police arrested several dozen people and allegedly mandandled many, led to a huge and highly public controvesry.
KTR said in a press meet that Maxbien Pharma was Revanth Reddy's son-in-law Goluguri Satyanarayana's pharma company, and that the latter was a Director in Maxbien Pharma with 16 lakh shares.
He also said that one Annam Sharath and his firm S V S Facility jointly owned another 21 lakh shares, and given that a private hospital in which Sharath was a shareholder was inaugurated recently by Revanth Reddy in Warangal, there were clear conflicts of interest.
Significantly, Goluguri Satyanarayana's family already have cases registered against them by the Enforcement Directorate, including bank fraud and default cases. The ED has disclosed that Goluguri Ramakrishna was accused of a bank fraud and had diverted several crores to family members and to start other businesses. Bank of Baroda and Syndicate Bank auctioned assets as the family defaulted on repayments. Ramakrishna and his brother Goluguri Venkat Reddy are reported to be directors in several companies.
Krishank is said to have submitted evidence, including documents of shares and the financials of Goluguri Satyanarayana, to the ED officials. The ED officially received Krishank's complaint.
