EAMCET Counselling For T Colleges From July 17

EAMCET 2015 counseling in Telangana will commence from July 17 with the launch of web options as per Hyderabad High Court interim order, according to Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari.

He told a press conference at Secretariat that counseling for 82,795 seats in 220 colleges under JNTU would start from Friday 10 am, and web options would be available from 5 pm.

Srihari appealed to the students to opt carefully as the seats were available in a 1:2 ratio. Inspections of colleges would be conducted till July 28, and the report of the inspections would be final as per the HC directive to reallocate seats and reimburse fees to the students, he said.

The schedule of the counseling and web options is thus:

1. web options from 17st to 21st July
2. change of options on 22nd
3. data processing on 23rd
4. allotments on 24th
5. reporting of students to the colleges allotted from 25th to 27th

For the final phase, the schedule is thus:

1. options on 29th July
2. change of the same on 30th
3. allotment on 31st
4. reporting to colleges and commencement of classes on Aug 1st


There are three categories of colleges: colleges that opted for direct counseling, colleges whose managements moved court, and other colleges which did not move court.

The third category of colleges would get to be part of the web options if they applied to JNTU afresh for inspections with all other details by Thursday 10 pm, Srihari said.

The counseling would be confined to JNTU to fill up 82,795 seats, and there would be about 9,000 seats in the Osmania and Kakatiya universities, he added. (NSS)
