Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka today made it clear that there was no question of postponing the District Selection Committee (DSC) exams scheduled to be held from July 18 to August 5. He however said that the State government would issue another DSC notification after the current notification process was completed.
Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, the Deputy CM said, "When the Congress government came to power in Telangana, the previous government's DSC notification of 5,000 posts was rescheduled and the fresh notification was issued by adding another 6,000 posts. Of the 2.79 lakh candidates who have applied for the DSC exam, 2.05 lakh have already downloaded their hall tickets. The DSC exams will be held from July 18 to August 5 as per the announced schedule. The government has also set up a Grievance Cell that will be available 24 hours a day for the redressal of any problems. I urge the DSC aspirants to prepare well for the exams and avail themselves of the opportunity to get recruited for one of the 11,000 teacher posts being filled."
"We will issue another DSC notification with 5,000 posts after the completion of the existing notification process. The unemployed teachers need not worry about the job notifications. The State government will keep on issuing DSC notifications frequently," Vikramarka added.
The Deputy CM lambasted the previous BRS government for failing to fill up the vacancies, saying that the Group 1, Group 2 and DSC exams were not conducted even once in its ten years of rule. He reiterated that the State government was committed to filling up all the vacancies as per a job calendar, and urged the job aspirants to extend their support to the government.
