Dollar Seshadri To Continue In TTD
The TTD says that this would be the last extension for the controversial official, who was embroiled in a scam involving missing gold and dollars.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's (TTD) Administrative Board, on Monday, decided to extend the term of the former officer on special duty "Dollar" Seshadri, by another 2 years.
The TTD Administrative Board, which met under the chairmanship of Kanumuri Bapiraju, stated that this would be the last extension for the controversial official, who was embroiled in a scam involving missing gold and dollars.
The board also decided to purchase 3,300 tonnes of ghee for daily rituals and other programs, and allotted Rs. 80 crore for this. Also, a Lord Venkateswara Temple at Kurukshetra with an amount of Rs. 30 crore. The board will now give priority to devotees who come by walk, for free darshan of Lord Venkateswara, irrespective of timings.
While clearing pending dues worth Rs. 29 crore for the Special Protection Force, the board also decided to recruit 368 veda pundit posts for the temple. 321 barbers working at Kalyanakatta will be regularized, and 320 new barbers will be appointed, for tonsuring devotees.
The board also decided to construct new buildings for Padmavathi Degree College, at a cost of Rs. 7 crore.
Rs. 7.8 crore was released for the construction of a nursing wing and a hostel at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences. (INN)
