Telangana Rashtra Samithi Minority leaders held a round table conference on Tuesday, to discuss the Ganesh Immersion procession and the expected verdict on the Babri Masjid title suit by the Allahabad High Court on September 24th, at
WoodBridge Hotel in Lakdi-ka-pul.
Talking to media persons later, TRS minority leader Iniyath Ali Baquiri requested people to maintain peace and harmony in Hyderabad in the light of intelligence reports of the possibility of rumours that could create communal disturbances.
Baquiri added that people should not hold celebrations, in order to maintain peace, and that they should instead offer prayers. Parties not happe with the verdict should approach the Supreme Court and seek justice, he said.
The leader further added that people should ignore news scrolls on TV channels, SMSes, and rumours against the verdict.
The TRS leader further added that the TRS' aim was to keep peace and harmony in the State. He pointed out that peace and harmony had been maintained in the region ever since the period of the Nizams.
