Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari today issued orders appointing film producer Dil Raju as the Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC).
He will continue in the post for two years.
Raju paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence today on the occasion of the appointment.
Dil Raju's actual name is V Venkataramana Reddy. His hometown is Narsingpalli village of the Mopal mandal in Nizamabad.
Raju started his career as a distributor with the film Pelli Pandiri in 1990. He produced the film
Dil in 2003. With the success of that film, he started being referred to as "Dil" Raju. He also soon emerged as the top producer in the industry. He produces films under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Raju is also involved in philanthropy through the Mapalle Charitable Trust.
