Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) Chairman and producer V Venkata Ramana Reddy, popularly known as Dil Raju, announced today that he would support the family of Revathi who lost her life in the Sandhya theatre stampede on December 4.
Raju visited eight-year-old Sritej, who was seriously injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at the KIMS hospital.
Speaking to the media later, he described the incident as unfortunate and unintentional.
"The Sandhya theatre incident was accidental. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appointed me as the FDC Chairman. I was unable to visit earlier as I was in the USA. After returning I met the Chief Minister, and will soon meet Allu Arjun too. I am closely following the situation, and will engage with government officials and film industry leaders to address the matter. I will serve as a bridge between the film industry and the government," Raju said.
"Claims that the government is distancing itself from the film industry are false. The Chief Minister has assured full support to the industry and has scheduled meetings with industry representatives," Raju added.
The TFDC Chairman also pledged to support Revathi's family in every possible way, including offering employment to her husband Bhaskar.
He also said that Sritej's condition was improving and that he was receiving high quality medical care.
