AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday did not rule out the possibility of the formation of a Rayala Telangana.
"I don't rule out anything," Digvijay Singh said, while replying to a question with regard to the proposal of Rayala Telangana, "Let the Group of Ministers (GoM) first give its report, on the basis of which the draft bill will be prepared and sent to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly."
However, he refused to react when asked why Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha was frequently speaking about the Rayala Telangana proposal. "I don't make private discussions public," he said.
Digvijay Singh also indicated that the decision of the state Legislative Assembly would hold no significance in the formation of a Telangana. "The draft Bill will be sent to the AP Assembly for comments," he said, when asked whether the Bill would be passed in the state Legislature.
He hoped that the process of Telangana formation would be completed in the next few days. (INN)
