Civil Supplies minister D Sridhar Babu on Sunday refuted allegations that he had filed a complaint against OUJAC leader Sriram.
Speaking to media persons, Sridhar Babu said that there was no truth in the allegations being leveled by Sriram's wife, who had filed a petition in the court stating that her husband was arrested in a false case and subjected to third degree torture following a complaint lodged by the minister.
Sridhar Babu said that he is being unnecessarily dragged into the controversy.
Meanwhile, demanding Sriram's release within 24 hours, members of the OUJAC staged a protest near the Osmania University Arts College building. They also burnt an effigy of Sridhar Babu on the campus. (INN)
