The Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, a popular pilgrimage centre in Telangana, witnessed an increase in the rush of devotees today.
As it was the last Sunday of the month of Karthika, people thronged the temple. As a result, devotees were seen waiting in large queues for a darsanam, and it took three hours for the darsanam of the Lord.
The vrat mandapam at the bottom of the hill was also filled with people thanks to a large number of devotees observing the vrat (fasting) and wanting to participate in the deeparadhana.
Several devotees also undertook circumambulations around the hill in the early hours and paid obeisance.
Special pujas also took place in a traditional manner on the occasion of Swati Nakshatra, the birth star of the Lord - Swati Nakshatra celebrations were held in a grand manner at the Pathagutta temple. Ashtottara and Sataghatabhisheka pujas were also performed to the idols at the entrance mandapam of the temple.
