Revanth Reddy wants Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Removed As Advisor

TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy today demanded that the state government immediately remove seer Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy from the post of advisor to the Yadadri temple for allegedly making insulting remarks against tribal deities Sammakka and Sarakka.

The TPCC leader told the state government that it would not be justified for it to continue the seer in the post after he insulted the two deities.

He said that Sammakka and Sarakka were symbols of Telangana's culture and courage, and that Chinna Jeeyar Swamy had attacked the beliefs of the people of the state with his comments.

Reddy said that Chinna Jeeyar Swamy had made the comments on his official Twitter handle, and had even tagged the CMO in his tweet, and so there was no question of any misinterpretation.

The comments made by the swamy had gone viral on the social media recently, and several tribal organisations and political parties demanded that he tender apologies over the issue.
