Devotees thronged the streets of Tirumala to catch a glimpse of the 'Kalpavrusha Vahanam' which was taken out in a procession on the 4th day of Sri Vari Navarathri Brahmotsavam.
The devotees had lined up in a large number to have a darshan of the idol of Lord Venkateshwara which was placed on the Kalpavrusha Vanhanam. It is believed that having a darshan of Lord Venkatesh will fulfil all the desires of the people.
The ongoing Dussehra holidays have led to the increased presence of devotees at the hill shrine.
Earlier on Sunday evening, the 3rd day of the Sri Vari Navarathri Brahmotsavam, Lord Venkateswara appeared before his devotees on a vehicle decorated with priceless and resplendent white pearls which spread the message of peace, love and co-existence in the society.
Special light arrangements, public toilets, drinking water, first aid and ambulance were made available around the 4 holy Mada streets to provide a total eyeful view of the procession of Vahanam. Cultural troupes comprising of dancers from all regions preceded the Vahanam procession of Lord Venkateswara.
The TTD has organized special seating arrangements along the 4 mada streets with fully protected railings for galleries to enable thousands of people to sit and witness the celestial procession which lasted 3 to 4 hours in the mornings and evenings of Brahmotsavam every day at Tirumala.
