Development Works Of Lal Darwaza Temple To Commence Soon: Talasani
The Telangana government would start the expansion and development works of the noted Lal Darwaza temple in the Old City soon, the minister announced today.
The Telangana government would start the expansion and development works of the noted Lal Darwaza temple in the Old City soon, Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav said today.
Yadav held a review meeting with officials at the Assembly Meeting Hall. AIMIM MLAs Akbaruddin Owaisi and Abdullah Balala also attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had promised to develop the temple by granting adequate funds, the State government had identified 1,100 square yards of land in the vicinity of the temple for the expansion, and had earmarked Rs 8.95 crore for paying compensation to those whose properties were acquired for the expansion.
During the meeting, officials were directed to start arrangements for the works of laying the foundation stone within 10 days.
"Apart from this, the State government has also decided to construct multi-purpose function halls in the Kanchan Bagh, Uppuguda and Jungammet areas in the Old City, and has sanctioned Rs 19 crore for the purpose. While the tender processing has been completed for the Uppuguda function hall, officials have been asked to complete the tender works for the remaining halls," Yadav added.
Hyderabad District Collector Amoy Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, senior officials from the endowment department and others were present.
