Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today got serious over the Rao's High School (BHEL, Sanga Reddy district) incident where a girl was forced to stand in the boys' toilet for not wearing a uniform.
The incident led to serious reactions from various quarters right from the time that it was reported, with local television channels airing the episode repeatedly. Besides parents, student unions and political parties also reacted very strongly.
This led to Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao strongly condemning the incident and terming it inhuman. He said that the issue would be taken to the notice of the Deputy Chief Minister for immediate action.
Upon this, the Deputy Chief Minister pressed in two DEOs Satyanarayana Reddy and Vijayakumari to the school, who were able to establish that the girl was indeed forced stand in the boys' toilet by the physical education teacher. The school management informed the DEOs that the PET had been removed from its services.
The two officials prepared a report after discussing the issue with the school management, and warned it of serious action if such incidents recurred in future. They will soon submit the report to the Deputy Chief Minister.
Srihari said that he would take action upon getting the report.
