» Decision On Telangana To Be Delayed Again: Ghulam Nabi Azad
More Discussion Needed For T-Decision: Azad
Ghulam Nabi Azad today said that the party needs more time to hold consultations with the Chief Minister, the PCC chief, and leaders of all three regions.
The Congress party needs more time to resolve the Telangana issue as it needs to hold further consultations over the Telangana issue.
This was stated by Union Minister and Incharge of AP Congress Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad while talking to reporters on the sidelines of the Congress' core committee meeting held at New Delhi on Sunday evening. He said that the party needs more time to hold consultations with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana and leaders of all three regions.
However, Azad clarified that he was speaking on behalf of the party and not on behalf the Central Government. He said that the Union Home Ministry will issue a separate statement on the issue.
Stating that consultations would be held "as early as possible", he refused to specify a deadline for doing the same. He said the consultations with all concerned would be held in the next few days. (INN)
