Hyderabad | 16th February 2013
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy informed the media that he has urged Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to expedite the Telangana issue.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, he said that strengthening the party in the state was the main focus area during their discussion. "Our talks revolved around the strengthening of the party in all Congress ruled states," he said.

"We have said that the State has got a raw deal in the allotment of gas quota and requested him that more gas is needed from the KG Basin for power generation. The cost will come down if the gas is given from D6," he said.

Reacting on Jagan, he said, "Congress will not be affected by an individual. We are all confident. There will not be any setback to the party if individuals leave. They will soon be replaced."

The Chief Minister said that the state has sent proposals for the Railway Budget. (INN)
