Turncoat BRS MLA Danam Nagender, who defected to the Congress, today warned other BRS MLAs in the Assembly heckling him that he would not allow them to move around in Hyderabad if they continued their protest against him.
He also used the "Nee Amma" abuse against them (and later defended it saying that it was common in Hyderabad).
The incident happened when Nagender got up to speak, and BRS MLAs started loudly asking him to tell them which party he was speaking on behalf of. After ignoring them for a while, Nagender gave it back in his own language.
BRS MLAs expressed their anger over his abuse and threats, and demanded an apology from him.
A little later, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi too sought an apology from Nagender. Nagender then said that he was "expressing his regrets" if his comments hurt anyone, and that he was a senior legislator in his sixth term now and had never lost his cool in the House in the past.
He also alleged that it was K T Rama Rao who called the Chief Minister as "cheap minister", and not him.
Responding to this, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar said that he would remove any unparliamentary comments by Nagender from the records.
