Telangana government employees are soon to get a hike in the dearness allowance.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has reportedly assured a DA hike for the state government employees in a short time.
This was informed by Mamatha Vankayalapati, president of the Telangana Gazetted Officers' Association.
The TGOA team called on the Chief Minister at Pragathi Bhavan. Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud led the team to the Chief Minister.
When they urged a DA hike, the Chief Minister agreed, Mamatha said.
The Chief Minister also discussed with them vacancies to be filled up through notificationa, Mamatha said.
"The CM said that job notifications would be issued soon, and also that an adjustment drive of employees in several departments would be taken up," she said.
Goud said that the government of Telangana was employee-friendly, and that KCR patiently heard the TGOs' issues and agreed to resolve them.
The TNGOA expressed hope that the government would soon effect the DA hike and issue job notifications.
