Police Launch WhatsApp Number For Senior Citizens

The police have requested senior citizens to send their grievances, suggestions, feedback and partnering ideas to this number, and to their Facebook Page.

As a part of its efforts to be citizen-friendly and practise responsive policing, the Cyberabad police took another step to reach out to the communities in its jurisdiction easily and effectively by launching a WhatsApp number for senior citizens - 7901114100.

The police have requested senior citizens to send their grievances, suggestions, feedback and partnering ideas to this number. A dedicated 24x7 social media team would look at those grievances immediately and get back to the senders, they said.

They also said that they had created a Facebook Page, too, for the purpose, available at www.facebook.com/Cyberabad-Police-Senior-Citizens-262368180858029/. Senior Citizens can post their grievances, suggestions and feedback there, too.

An evaluation of the Facebook Page and WhatsApp number would be done each month and necessary measures taken if required, he said.
