Telangana BJP leaders lodged a complaint with the police against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao alleging that the latter had spoken against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an insulting manner.
The BJP leaders had been demanding for a while that the Chief Minister tender his apologies for speaking derisively of the Prime Minister. Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman also took objection to the remarks made by KCR against the Prime Minister. However KCR did not concede, and finally Telangana BJP Minority Morcha vice-president and advocate M A Khavi Abbasi today lodged a complaint with the Moghalpura police station seeking action against KCR.
Abbasi mentioned in the complaint that the language used against the Prime Minister was objectionable and hurt the sentiments of the people.
