Criminal Case Against Saroornagar Corporator Akula Srivani

A criminal case has been registered against Saroornagar corporator Akula Srivani, belonging to the BJP, in the CCS for allegedly making inappropriate remarks against MA & UD minister K T Rama Rao in the social media.

Responding to a complaint submitted by some TRS leaders, the CCS police served a notice to Srivani asking her report at their office on November 4.

Responding to the notice, Srivani alleged that the staff working in the TRS social media office had deliberately foisted the case on her.

She claimed that she had never made critical comments against KTR that could result in any law and order problems.

She also said that she had the video in question with her that related to her remarks against KTR, and that it was clear from that she had not made any critical remarks against the minister.

Srivani alleged that some jealous TRS leaders had filed the complaint of defamation against her for pointing out the mistakes of the State government.

She said that she would face the case and fight it courageously.
