A criminal case has been registered today against BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao by the Bachupalli police, following a complaint by businessman Gadhagoni Chakradhar Goud.
The complaint alleges that Rao, along with associates Vamsi Krishna, Santosh Kumar and Parsharamulu, engaged in criminal conspiracy, intimidation and illegal phone tapping.
The case has been filed under BNS section 351(2) read with 3(5), with Rao listed as Accused No 2.
In his FIR Goud claims that during his campaign as an MLA candidate for Siddipet, his supporters received threatening calls discouraging them from attending his events. He further alleges that Rao, motivated by political rivalry, orchestrated illegal surveillance of his communications to harm his reputation and disrupt his social and political activities in Siddipet.
