CPI To Stage "Mahadharna" On July 15
The CPI said that it would organise a "Mahadharna" at Indira Park on July 15 demanding that the TRS government distribute land pattas to the homeless poor.
Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was passing time only with assurances, the Communist Party of India (CPI) Telangana State Council said that it would organise a "Mahadharna" at Indira Park on July 15 demanding that the state government distribute land pattas to the homeless poor.
After releasing the Mahadharna poster along with CPI leader and former MP Syed Azeez Pasha and CPI Greater Hyderabad South Zone secretary E T Narsimha, CPI Telangana secretary Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister was failing to fulfil the promises he made during the elections.
For instance, he said, KCR had failed to implement his promise of construction of double bedroom houses for one lakh houseless poor in Greater Hyderabad.
He suggested that the KCR government call for an all-party meeting to discuss the problems if there were any in allotting land pattas to the poor.
He also swore that the CPI would continue its fight on behalf of the people till the government solved the problems.
Azeez Pasha said KCR was showering sops on the people keeping the Greater Hyderabad elections in view, and made it clear that the people would revolt in case the Chief Minister failed to fulfil his promises.
The government, which had announced during the Swachch Hyderabad campaign that it would allot Rs 50 lakhs to each division, had failed to take up a single work in any division till date, he alleged.
Narsimha announced that the CPI would undertake padayatras from July 6 to 15 in Greater Hyderabad to know the problems being faced by the people.
The CPI would then stage a Mahadharna on July 15 to bring the problems of the Greater Hyderabad people to the notice of the government.
He called upon the party activists to make the "Mahadharna" a big success.
City executive members Chayadevi, Ravindra Chary, Yadi Reddy, R Gopal, K Chandu and others participated in the program. (NSS)
