CPI Says Cash-Free Transactions Will Not Work

CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy claimed that a 100% cashless society was an impossible mission.
Hyderabad | 12th December 2016
Ridiculing Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao's statement that Telangana would become 100% cash-free soon, CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy opined that a 100% cashless society was an impossible mission, due to several factors.

Speaking to the media at CPI district office here on Monday the CPI leader, quite surprisingly, claimed that cashless transactions had failed utterly even in developed nations.

He claimed that only 41% of the United States of America used electronic transactions, while China stood at 10% and Singapore at 60%.

"Modi lacks knowledge on cashless economy," he alleged.
