CPI Narayana Condemns KCR
CPI state secretary K Narayana condemned KCR's recent statement wherein the latter indicated supporting the National Democratic Alliance to achieve a Telangana state.
The differences between the Communist Party of India and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi came to the fore with the former openly criticising the recent decisions announced by TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao.
Addressing a press conference at Maqdoom Bhavan, CPI state secretary K Narayana condemned KCR's recent statement wherein he indicated of supporting the National Democratic Alliance to achieve a Telangana state. He said that statehood for the region could only be achieved through struggle and by forging ties with the national alliances.
Further, Narayana also objected the announcement of the MLC candidate by KCR. It may be mentioned that KCR has announced Mahamood Ali's candidature in the MLA quota while addressing a meeting at Karimnagar on Monday. However, the CPI leader described his decision as 'hasty'. He said that KCR's decision would help the Congress candidate.
Narayana has also lent his party's support to the Sadak Bandh being organised by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on February 24. He appealed to the people to participate in the bandh.
CPI leaders Azeez Pasha, Chada Venkat Reddy and others were also present. (INN)
