Communist Party of India (CPI) National Secretary Dr K Narayana today demanded that BRS President and former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao immediately resign from his MLA post.
He strongly criticised KCR for skipping the ongoing Assembly sessions despite crucial discussions being held. Referring to key developments such as the introduction of the 42% BC reservations bill and the tabling of the P C Ghose Commission report on the Kaleshwaram project, Narayana asked whether KCR was staging dramas at his farmhouse instead of attending the Assembly. He described KCR's absence as an act of gross irresponsibility.
Narayana also congratulated Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for introducing the BC reservations bill, and urged that it be passed in the Assembly and forwarded to the Centre for approval. He said that the CPI fully supported the Chief Minister on this issue.
