Rebutting allegations of corruption made by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu against the Congress party, Government Whip S Sailajanath, on Thursday, countered by alleging that graft had reached its peak during the TDP rule in the State.
Talking to media persons at the CLP, Sailajanath pointed out that Naidu had stated that 50% of corruption cases in the country were from the State, and alleged that cases had taken place during Naidu's rule.
"There is no doubt that the NTR Trust Bhavan is the address for corruption," he said.
The Government Whip also pointed that that Naidu had considered that funding agriculture was a waste of time and resources. His views have left him with no moral right to talk on welfare of farmers and their rights, Saialajanath stated.
The Government Whip further charged that the TDP chief was stooping to the level of making baseless allegations against the Congress party since he was losing his political base.
Sailajanath further asked Naidu to back his charges of corruption against the Congress party with substantial evidence, and warned the TDP of serious consequences if he did not stop the malicious campaign.
