Communist Party Of India (CPI) State Secretary K Narayana on Tuesday opined that the candidates of the Congress Party, contesting the by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituency, will lose their deposits despite the serving ministers' efforts towards the party's victory.
Talking to media persons at the Makhdoom Bhavan in Himayath Nagar on Tuesday, the Left leader stated that the people of Kadapa will give a fitting lesson to the Congress candidates, as Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has left the peoples' issues to the wind. He also alleged that the administration in the state has come to a grinding halt for the past few months.
The government has totally concentrated its efforts on how to monitor the activities of former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, and hasn't taken administrative and policy decisions on important issues, Narayana charged.
Despite deputing 7 ministers to various constituencies in the Kadapa district, the winning chances of Congress candidates D L Ravindra Reddy and Y S Vivekananda Reddy are grim, the veteran communist leader said.
Stating that Left party leaders would campaign for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidates during the by-elections, Narayana expressed confidence that the TDP candidates would win the elections with a majority.
He expressed confidence that the rift between the Nanadamuri and Nara families, over leadership, would be sorted out soon. (INN)
