Jana Expects 'T' Solution In 2012
Jana Reddy says the High Command will state a resolution to the Telangana agitation this year, and that action will be taken against MLAs who have strayed from the party whip.
The Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy, on Monday, claimed that the Congress High Command would give clarity on the Telangana issue this year.
Talking to reporters at the state Secretariat, Jana Reddy said that the Congress High Command was serious about the issue, and that it would soon come out with a clear stance on statehood.
He also announced that he would extend support to a statehood agitation whenever there is one.
Further, he added that he will fully cooperate with anyone who supports the establishment of a separate Telangana state.
In regard to the actions taken against the rebel Congress MLAs, Jana Reddy said that although Speaker Nadendla Manohar has delayed the decision, no rebel MLA would be spared.
He said that action will be taken against all the MLAs, as per the rules, who have disregarded the party whip and voted against the government during the No Confidence Motion.
The minister announced that the government would take serious action against those having a nexus with the liquor syndicate. He said the guilty would be punished, irrespective of their position and political affiliations.
Later, Jana Reddy also released an AP Panchayat Raj Association dairy and calendar at his chambers. (INN)
