Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday claimed that the annual budget presented by the TRS-led state government was far from realistic.
He said that the lack of economic discipline was clearly evident in the budget presented by the Chief Minister.
Bhatti also alleged that the State government was cutting off the regular budgetary allocations made to different departments of the State, and that there was no mention of welfare programmes like allowances for the unemployed, three acres of land for the dalits and free double bedroom apartments in the Budget.
Also, the government had presented a vote-on-account budget for a period of six months despite the fact that there was no need to do that, and presenting an "annual" budget for the next months was fatuous, he said.
He also took potshots at the CM for claiming credit for providing water through the Sripada Yellampally project, claiming that it was the Congress government that had completed the project.
