Budget Totally Disappointing: Congress
The Congress termed the budget presented by KCR as completely disappointing, and added that the figures presented showed a poor state of affairs in the state.
The Congress on Friday termed the budget presented by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as completely disappointing, and added that the figures presented by the government showed a poor state of affairs in the state.
Speaking to mediapersons after the presentation of the budget, Congress Legislature Party Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the budget was nothing but an attempt made by the government to keep the people of the State waiting for the implementation of the promises made by it.
He said that there had already been no government until the expansion of the cabinet, and that it would now take several more months for the government to present a full-fledged budget given that it intended to do it after the Lok Sabha elections and after the full-fledged budget for the country was presented by the new union government.
He lamented that the state government did not give any specific date for the implementation of the promised unemployment allowance. He also alleged that the state lacked economic discipline, and that the government was trying to take more loans by showing its existing debts as income.
He opined that it would have been better if the government had presented a full-fledged budget instead of givig spurious reasons for presenting a vote-on-account budget.
Commenting on the MLC elections, Vikramarka said that the Congress would contest the elections as it had the requisite number of votes. He questioned the decision of the TRS to declare five candidates for the MLC elections when it did not have enough numbers to win the fifth seat.
