The first chief minister of Telangana and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao today lashed out at the Congress government over the annual budget presented in the State Assembly.
"Looking at the budget, it is clear that this government is an enemy of the farmers," he said.
Speaking to mediapersons along with BRS MLAs at the media point in the Assembly after the budget speech of Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, KCR claimed that the Congress government had stabbed all sections of the State in the back.
KCR said that the previous government had introduced several schemes for the welfare and economic development of all sections of the society. "However, it appears that the sheep distribution scheme introduced for the economic development of the Yadavs has been shut down. There is no mention of the Dalit Bandhu scheme at all. There is no assurance for fishermen, either. There is no greater proof that this of indifference towards the dalit society and of feudalism. The throats of the underprivileged have been slit," KCR said.
He also said the interest-free loan scheme was not a new scheme but an existing scheme, and that there were many things that needed to be said clearly for women as well in the budget.
"After the formation of the government, we wanted to give at least six months' time to it. I also did not come to the Assembly. But if you look at today's budget, there is not a single policy formulation," KCR said.
