Congress Calls Harish Rao Coronavirus Super-Spreader
Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy alleged Rao was touring the constituency every two days to cause political damage to him, despite the rapidly spreading Covid.
Congress MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy, aka Jagga Reddy, today lashed out at his arch rival and state finance minister T Harish Rao for "doing politics" in his (Reddy's) Assembly constituency Sangareddy.
He alleged that Rao was touring his constituency every two days to cause political damage to him, and asked the minister if he would kill the people of his constituency and turn it into a graveyard just for some political mileage.
He said that the coronavirus was spreading fast in his constituency and that the people were scared a lot about that, and asked Rao to avoid visiting Sangareddy until the pandemic lasted.
He said that he was also capable of visiting his constituency, but that he had stopped due to the pandemic. Hundreds of his supporters would gather around him if he visited the constituency, and that would result in a strong possibility of rapid spread of the virus, he said.
Reddy claimed that he was in touch with his constituents despite not visiting the place, and had been extending all kinds of support to them, and that Rao could do the same.
He dared Rao to allot Rs 2,000 crore for the development of the constituency if he really had its best interests at heart.
