Congress Demands Health Minister Etala's Resignation
Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy today demanded that the Health Minister resign for his "failure" to protect the lives of the people of the state from Covid-19.
Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy today demanded that the Health Minister of the state Etala Rajender resign from his post for his "failure" to protect the lives of the people of the state from the deadly Covid-19.
He said that it was useless for the minister to continue in his post when he had failed to stop the coronavirus from running rampage in the state.
He urged the CM K Chandrashekar Rao to intervene in the issue and protect the lives of the people.
The MLA said that he was reacting following the death of Sangareddy municipality councillor Ghousiya Begum due to the virus.
He said that the victim had gone to all the hospitals for her treatment but none of the hospitals had admitted her citing a shortage of beds.
He alleged that none of the hospitals had ventilators or oxygen supplies.
He claimed that he himself could not get her a bed despite being an MLA.
He alleged that district in-charge minister T Harish Rao had not inquired about the status of the hospitals in Sangareddy district.
He also targeted Medak MP K Prabhakar Reddy, of the TRS, asking for his whereabouts.
