Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president M Kodandaram said that the month-long Congress rule in Telangana so far had been good and that the government employees were very happy that their salaries were coming by the fourth day in the month.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Kodandaram also claimed that people had seen restrictions and fear in the rule of previous BRS government, but that now they were able to talk over their phones freely.
Kodandaram said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was running the administration involving all sections of the people, and that the TJS wanted the change to come at the Centre too this time.
"We asked the previous BRS government to drop the cases against the Telangana activists. Many cases filed against the activists were politically motivated. But no initiative was taken in this regard during the previous government. That's the reason we fought to defeat the dictatorship, and succeeded," he said.
"BRS leaders are still unable to recognise that their dictatorial attitude was the main reason for the debacle in the Assembly elections," he added.
Kodandaram also condemned the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who found fault with the process of Telangana State formation, and said that the Prime Minister was showing bias against Telangana in allocation of funds and projects.
"Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Kazipet Railway Wagon Factory only keeping in view the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He is not sincere in the implementation of the promises mentioned under the AP Reorganization Act," he said.
