BRS working president K T Rama Rao, addressing the Medak Parliamentary constituency-level meeting of the party leaders and workers today, said that the State government had lied in the Governor's address to the joint session of the State legislature by claiming that the State had become a mess.
He said that the BRS had released the sweat paper to bring facts to the fore.
"We have included the comprehensive development of Telangana. We have explained it along with statistics and evidence," he said.
KTR said that the six guarantees given by the Congress were basically 420 promises, which were predictably being broken. He said that CM Revanth Reddy had said during his election campaign that after coming to power he would waive off the loans of farmers on December 9 up to a limit of Rs 2 lakh. He said that State agriculture minister Thummala Nageswara Rao had instead issued orders to collect the loan dues from all the loan defaulters and file cases against them if required.
He also said that Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka had openly said that the State government would not implement the proposed unemployment allowance scheme, promised by Priyanka Gandhi herself if the party came to power in the State.
Referring to the claims of the Congress leaders that they would bring national status to the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation project, he said that it had now become clear that it was not possible for them to achieve that.
Claiming that the Congress leaders made as many promises as their mouths would allow, he warned that the BRS would not give up until all the 420 promises made by the Congress were fulfilled.
KTR also said that the Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy, who had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Adani were one and the same, had today signed agreements with the same Adani in Davos.
"While Rahul Gandhi upbraided Adani on Thursday, Revanth Reddy made a deal with him in Davos at the same time. The real colour of the Congress and BJP leaders is coming out now," he said.
He said that their party's pink flag was going to be hoisted in Medak in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. "Let us not forget that it was our BRS MPs who raised their voices on behalf of Telangana in the last 10 years. The BRS is the only party that protects the interests of the State. Our strength, our voice, our pink flag should be in Parliament. Otherwise, the interests of Telangana will be harmed. The same thing should be told to the people. Despair has to go away," he said.
