Congress & MIM Partners, Cheating Jubilee Hills Voters: BJP

Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao today alleged a clear nexus between the Congress and AIMIM in the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election.

Addressing a gathering at the BJP State office, which included a large number of people joining the party, Rao accused the Congress and AIMIM of deceiving voters through a covert alliance.

He said that the Congress candidate for Jubilee Hills seat had earlier contested on an AIMIM ticket and, after receiving the Congress nomination, reportedly met the AIMIM chief to seek his blessings. "This proves that the AIMIM has fielded its own members under the Congress banner to win the seat with the Congress' support. It is a clear case of cheating the voters of Jubilee Hills," Rao alleged.

Criticising both the previous BRS government and the current Congress administration, Rao said that successive regimes had neglected Hyderabad and the GHMC, and cited the poor condition of the roads and drainage systems in Jubilee Hills. "It is a constituency without even a single government office - a glaring example of administrative neglect," he claimed.

Rao urged the voters of Jubilee Hills and Telangana to take note of the development and welfare initiatives of the Narendra Modi government and extend their support to the BJP. He spoke of the BJP's significant gains in Telangana, including winning eight Lok Sabha seats, and called on voters to give the party a chance to serve as the real opposition that would strongly voice public concerns in the Assembly.

He also said that intellectuals were joining the BJP, attracted by Modi's development agenda. Among those who joined the BJP on the occasion were Dr Kasani Maruti Goud from Khammam, NRI Shashi and his team from London, and leaders from the Devarakonda and Nagarkurnool constituencies. They were welcomed into the party by Rao with the traditional saffron scarf.
