MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was ruling the State like a dictator, and encouraging his party leaders to attack Congress workers.
Claiming that KCR was "buying" rival party MLAs, he asked the Chief Minister how much he had paid for Congress MLA Chirumarti Lingaiah.
He said that KCR was ruining the concept of democracy in the State through his actions.
Commenting on Lingaiah, he said that his brother and he had not only convinced the party high command to allot a seat to the now-defected MLA, but had also worked hard to ensure his victory. They took care of Lingaiah like a family member, he claimed. However KCR had the wiles to overcome even family bonds, Reddy said.
He said that despite all the machinations of KCR, however, the Congress would quickly come to power in the State.
AICC secretary S A Sampath Kumar said that the statements of TRS leader K T Rama Rao were meaningless. Noting that the TRS had 16 of the 17 MPs from Telangana, he asked KTR to spell out their achievements in the last five years.
Chevella MP Konda Visweshwar Reddy said that the Congress should come to power for the unity and development of the country. He also said that the party was according top priority to women leaders.
