Revanth Reddy Launches Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam

The scheme provides financial assistance to the Civil Services aspirants from Telangana.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today launched the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme at Praja Bhavan.

The scheme provides financial assistance to the Civil Services aspirants from Telangana. Under the scheme, candidates who qualify for the Mains exams will be provided with Rs 1 lakh for preparation.

The Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) is providing the financial assistance to the scheme as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility under the Nirmaan program.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the job calendar would be announced in the upcoming budget session of the Assembly, and that the government would compile the data of vacancies in every department before March every year.

"The notification will be issued by June 2, and the recruitment process will be completed by December 9," he said.

The CM said that the Telangana movement was the result of previous governments not fulfilling the aspirations of the youth for jobs, and despite statehood for the region, the unemployed youth had struggled a lot in the last 10 years. He said that the Congress government was according top priority to addressing the problems of the unemployed. He also said that his government was taking all necessary steps to conduct the recruitment examinations efficiently in a well-planned manner.

"The Telangana State Public Service Commission has been reformed on the lines of the UPSC. Appointment orders for the filling of 30,000 posts were already given within three months of our party coming to power. The TGPSC has already conducted the Group 1 prelims, and the DSC exams are now in progress. Moreover, the State government, considering the difficulties being faced by the unemployed youth, has postponed the Group 2 exam," he added.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Jupalli Krishna Rao, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy and Seethakka, CM's Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, MLAs, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and other officials were also present in the program.
