On the occassion of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad's birthday, the state celebrates Minorities Welfare Day here at Ravindra Bharati on Sunday. Adressing the audience, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy made a rousing speech to rally the youth. "Jo Hyderabadi hai, kidhar bhi gaye Hyderabadi hai, I am Hyderabadi, I say prodly whereever I go", proclaimed the CM.
Talking about the importance of educational institutions, he said that financial problems are not an excuse to skimp on this area. Europe has financial problems, the United States has financial problems, everybody has financial problems right now, said Kiran Kumar. He then announced that he has sactioned 3 new colleges to be built in Old City in the traditional Hyderabadi architectural style.
Addressing the youth in particular, he said, "All the children here, I want to give you a good message. Please, set your goal as to what you want to become. Without hardwork, nothing can be achieved. We have to work hard, we have to set goals, we have to have clarity in our thought. And then, nothing can stop us."
