Admitting that Hyderabad's roads were badly damaged in the recent heavy rains, Health and Family Welfare Minister Danam Nagender, on Tuesday, stated that the government would take up repair works on roads in the city from September 23rd.
Talking to media persons at the Secretariat, Danam also commented on the targeting of YSR's brother-in-law and Kadapa Mayor Ravindranath Reddy in connection with the fertilizers issue. He said that the government would not buckle under such tricks by the Opposition, and that the law would take its own course.
Reacting to the Telangana Ministers complaint that 4 Congress MPs were damaging the party image by issuing statements affecting the party interests, the Minister said, "I have contacted MP Madhu Yashki over telephone and clarified the issue with him. The media has misrepresented his statements," he said.
The Minister said that Congress leaders would stick to the decision of the high command over the Telangana statehood issue.
Danam called upon all people and religious heads to maintain peace and restraint during Ganesh immersion and in the wake of the Allahabad High Court's expected verdict on the Babri Masjid title suit on September 24th.
